Bloom Time Very Early
Bloom times are relative within the spring bulb season, which varies from place to place and year to year. They are intended to help you plan a sequence of bloom from Very Early season to Very Late season. About two weeks separate Early from Mid and Mid from Late. The start and duration of bloom is heavily dependent on the weather. Warm temperatures speed up growth and flowering; cold temperatures slow them down.

Planting Instructions

Iris reticulata requires well-drained soil and full sun, and it likes to be dry in summer. The bulbs perform best if planted with points up. After bloom, the narrow, grasslike foliage elongates, eventually standing 12–14 inches tall. It collapses and disappears by early summer.

Iris Harmony: A Periodic Sprinkle

Ever notice those blue blossoms pop from a distance? Especially in spring, when you are woefully weary of wall-to-wall white, you really pick up on blue flowers as you speed by on the street.
